This is a very interesting collection of ancient Iron fire starters; they range in age from Roman to medieval. Some of them have ornate detail and there is a wide range of different designs. We have a selection of both cleaned and uncleaned examples.

Constantius
Here we have a long-standing collection of mainly uncleaned premium Roman coins acquired from a German Collector. We have about 300 available in total and as you can see they are in exceptional uncleaned condition. They range in size and age and include some silver and silvered examples. They will make for really nice and easy cleaning and most will clean to show exceptional detail. We are selling these in counted lots, as we had to acquire them on a cost per coin basis. I would say they are some of the best uncleaned Roman coins that I have ever seen as they only very rarely come up in such outstanding condition, all should be attributable.

Here we have a fairy crusty but fairly interesting hoard of mainly Roman coins. The detail on them generally does not make most of them attributable off the bat, and some patience will be required to unlock a lot of the secrets here as they are fairly crusty. Interestingly enough there seems to be a nice range in sizes of the coins indicating there could be some interesting finds here.

New - Just Arrived
This is a bulk low grade trade lot of mainly late Roman coins, these are our lowest ever priced Roman coins and would be ideal for either bulk cleaning, or indeed resale on ebay or other online sites. We managed to purchase these at a very good price so that is reflected in the low trade sale price of the coins. Due to the bulk trade nature of the coins we are only selling them in 0.5 and 1kg packages.

Here we have a hoard of what appears to be mainly classical Greek coins, there is also the odd Byzantine coin mixed in. They are fairly crusty so there could be almost anything in here but Greek coins do have a nice habit of cleaning up to be attributable compared to their Roman counterparts due to the thickness and quality of the metal used. Some of them already show a bit of detail so they promise to be an exciting clean and a lot of fun to attribute.

These are absolutely beautiful mainly Roman and Greek silver coins purchased from a premium collection in Europe. We are very excited about being able to exclusively offer them. The detail and condition on them is generally great. They are all unattributed and like other lots of Silver coins that we have sold previously so there may be some rare ones available.

Philip
Here we have around 200 Philip and Alexander coins in premium uncleaned condition. The previous owner of this hoard has cleaned some of the coins so you can see the level of detail that will show after cleaning. They are wonderful and very collectable coins that command a premium sale value when cleaned and attributed. Unfortunately these coins were prohibitively expensive for us to acquire on a price per coin basis and the cost does not really stack up to retail in terms of weight so we need to list them by number to have a sensible price point on them that will give people the opportunity to get some of these.

Attica
This is really promising hoard from the Middle East, it consists of mainly Greek coins that are generally slightly smaller than normal but also has examples that are heading towards being premium in terms of uncleaned condition. Size wise they go right down to fractional by the looks of it so that is always pleasing as those are very popular to collectors. It also seems to have some Roman Provincial in it and maybe a little Judean. This is a really interesting one that could very well hold some rare and valuable coins in it once cleaned and attributed.

Sophia
This is a large hoard of mainly late Roman coins, they are in better than average condition for what we normally see. A good amount of them have some detail already showing on them and there seems to be a fair mix of earlier Roman coins mixed in with the odd later silver coins. They are great value for money for later uncleaned Roman as you get around 600 coins per KG.

This is a really nice mainly late Roman hoard that is edging towards being of “premium” quality detail wise. Almost all of these coins already have some noticeable detail on and some of them will require virtually no cleaning at all, I would imagine that well over 90% should be attributable. Aside from the Roman coins there is the odd Byzantine and Greek coin but they are certainly in the minority. This is certainly the best Roman hoard that we have had in quite some time and will be a pleasure to clean as they have so much starting detail.
