Here is a range of uncleaned Roman Silver coins that were purchased ethically from a collector in Europe. They offer a wide variety of emperors and are completely unattributed. Grades vary between average upwards with some that will turn out to be excellent examples.
These are the lowest price Silver Roman coins that we have ever been able to offer for sale.

Here we have an early Greek hoard, they are mainly made up of the chunky slightly domed coins with the odd variation as a rough guess I would say the vast majority of them will be around 200 BC . A fair few of them already show some detail, you can see some with horses on some of them as well as mythical creatures and Gods. These types of hoards are generally very popular as everyone loves Greek coins and the values tend to be a lot higher than their roman counterparts. This is due in part to the interesting subject matter and also due to the fact that they are not so common and tend to clean up better. This hoard should be very interesting to clean and attribute. Although some show some good detail a lot of them will hold onto their secrets until they have been cleaned.

Constantine
This is a mainly low-grade late Roman hoard with a few Byzantine coins and the odd Greek coin mixed in. We often get asked for Roman coins at lower price points. This one fits the bill, they are certainly the cheapest coins that we have ever sold, and they are in typical uncleaned condition. Some show some promising detail so will be cleanable and attributable, but others will never clean up as a lot of late Roman coins were made of a very thin poor quality bronze. But we are sure that these are the cheapest ethically obtained late Roman coins available anywhere on the Internet at the moment. They also seem to show a far better variety than most others available on the Internet.

Atticus
This is a rather pleasant hoard of mainly Roman coins; it has a nice mix of the rarer large coins as well as the smaller denominations. There is also a nice helping of silver coins in this hoard, we must have seen at least 30 or 40 while we were pouring the coins out on the table to take photographs, but as we don’t stage our photographs there are only a couple visible in the pictures.
This hoard seems to have some very interesting coins in it and should prove to be a lot of fun when cleaning and attributing them. A good few coins are already showing some detail so I would say it is “over average” for a hoard of this nature.

Olympia
This is a mainly Greek hoard with some interesting earlier Roman coins in it. Everyone always loves cleaning Greek coins as they often contain mythical creatures and can often prove to be very interesting and more valuable than their Roman counterparts. We believe that there should be some very interesting coins contained in this hoard. It has a good feel to it and a few that are already showing detail are ones that we have never seen before.
If you are looking for something with some real variety and rarity that is mainly Greek then we think that this hoard should not disappoint.

Hypnos
This is a hoard that contains a good percentage of classical Greek coins depicting ancient Gods, creatures and horses coins along with some interesting earlier Roman and Persian coins. A lot of the coins are reasonably encrusted at the moment but being earlier thicker coins they will generally take well to cleaning because the bronze used in the manufacturing process was far superior to that of a lot of later coins. With a bit of patience these will make for some very interesting cleaning and attributing that could potentially lead to some exciting finds. There is also a variety of artefacts within this hoard including a few rings, brooches and miscellaneous items.

Carus
Here we have a hoard of large mainly Roman Provincial coins, I would say they are in slightly over average condition as a good deal of them you can feel the relief on prior to cleaning and a few of them already show good noticeable detail on them. A lot of these Provincial coins can be very collectable and offer some interesting cleaning, it should also be noted that a lot of these coins were often used in circulation until they were fairly worn.

Constantius
Here we have a long-standing collection of mainly uncleaned premium Roman coins acquired from a German Collector. We have about 300 available in total and as you can see they are in exceptional uncleaned condition. They range in size and age and include some silver and silvered examples. They will make for really nice and easy cleaning and most will clean to show exceptional detail. We are selling these in counted lots, as we had to acquire them on a cost per coin basis. I would say they are some of the best uncleaned Roman coins that I have ever seen as they only very rarely come up in such outstanding condition, all should be attributable.

Attica
This is really promising hoard from the Middle East, it consists of mainly Greek coins that are generally slightly smaller than normal but also has examples that are heading towards being premium in terms of uncleaned condition. Size wise they go right down to fractional by the looks of it so that is always pleasing as those are very popular to collectors. It also seems to have some Roman Provincial in it and maybe a little Judean. This is a really interesting one that could very well hold some rare and valuable coins in it once cleaned and attributed.

Magnus
Here we have a Middle Eastern hoard that has influences from Greece, the early Roman Empire as well as some Byzantine and possibly Islamic coins in it. The vast majority of these coins are very large for a Middle Eastern hoard. Some are showing some detail already and should prove to be interesting coins. The few smaller coins tend to be the earlier ones as well. I have only noticed one or two smaller Roman silver coins in here but they did seem to have nice detail on them. We always struggle to get earlier hoards mainly made up of larger coins from this region, but when they come up they are quite interesting and varied.

Here we have a Holyland hoard of coins; there is a really wide variety and range of coins here. The Holyland was the centre of the earth in ancient times so coins were very often traded from numerous cultures making for extremely varied and interesting cleaning. Typically you will find, Roman, Judean, Nabatean, Seleucid, Byzantine, Islamic, widows mites and other fascinating coinage from extensive trade in the area as well as different periods of occupation.
There is a good mix of coins here ranging from extremely small to extremely large. Coins from this region often can contain almost anything!
